  • Why Sherfield Oaks

With 36 holes laid out among mature trees in an ‘easy to get to’ leafy location just outside Basingstoke in between the M3/M4, each of our two fabulous golf courses offers their own unique challenge.

Whether you have one eye on the full English breakfast in our inviting barn style clubhouse or prefer to get ready for your round hitting top quality range balls off a manicured grass range, our enthusiastic & helpful staff are always pleased to see you.

On a naturally free draining site, the Wellington Course, a par 72 design, is more open than its sister course and invites the big hitter to cut loose. Make sure though to avoid the strategically positioned lakes that are located throughout the course.

The Waterloo Course, a par 69 design, is slightly shorter than the Wellington and favours the shotmaker. With tighter, more technical holes, the Waterloo presents just as stern a test as the Wellington, and players have to truly think and plot their way around the Waterloo.

  • Sherfield Oaks Society Masters

Sherfield Oaks knows how much time and effort goes into organising a day and as a mark of respect and gratitude, we host The Sherfield Oaks Society Masters each year in October.

Society Organisers who have had their society day at Sherfield Oaks in the previous 12 months receive, along with a friend, a free complimentary invite to our Sherfield Oaks Society Masters held every October.

This ultimate society competition includes goody bags, golf, food, and amazing prizes with the winners receiving an all expenses paid trip (travel, hotel & golf) to play at the world renowned Le Touquet Golf Resort which offers three courses ranging from pure fun to a thrilling challenge, including France’s #1 links.

“We arrived today for a small society day of which we were very warmly welcomed by the the golf check in desk. The guys could not of been more helpful, making sure we had all we needed and arranged for the our coffee and bacon rolls to be brought out to us, rolls and coffee or tea nice and hot and the rolls very tasty. So onto the golf we played the Waterloo this time having previously played the Wellington a week before, as to be expected the courses were busy but the speed of play was good, there were a few little waits again to be expected on busy courses, the course marshalling was there and we were impressed with his due diligence to keep the course moving. As a final comment I would very much like to thank Julie Bond who is the Society Manager, booking the day was just a phone call from me and the rest was arranged by Julie, we paid via a email link so no messing around on the day and she was there to greet us on the day!”

“Hi Julie, I meant to contact you earlier following our visit on July 2nd, but unfortunately between work and golf I have been extremely busy. I just wanted to pass on our thanks and appreciation to all of those who made our day a great success. Everything from the course (absolutely beautiful and in perfect condition) to the food, service, and overall friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff was exemplary. Usually in a group our size there are a few "moaning Minnie's" who have some reason to find fault, no-one did! Jason had to cry off due to a change in work commitments, he missed a real gem. Many thanks again, Mike.”

“"We had an excellent society day on a well presented Waterloo course. Its obvious a lot of work goes into this venue by the ground staff. Our experience was professionally managed throughout: Julie was very helpful in arranging our event, Luke was a superb engaging host - nothing was too much trouble and who could forget the Marshall for the day (one with a rare sense of humour). We look forward to returning and using the refurbished clubhouse after the restrictions. Many thanks to all the staff for a great day and good luck for the future."”
